Phoenix 99226 Power Pro Olympic Bench
Customer Reviews:At $227.55 this is a great value. It has some issues, but is still a great value just for the bench w/ leg attachment.
Issues I have with it:
* lap tower sways
* lat tower, friction in movement
* Olympic collars slide off
* wood in back rest pops and feels like it would break if i wasn't super careful with it.
I modified mine some to fix some issues.
[Olympic Weights]
Pickup (3) Strap Hose Clamp's at lowes/home depot. these are really cheap. I believe i used 3" ones. Slide on the Olympic collars on the lat tower and leg extension and then use these to keep the collars from sliding around.
[Lat Tower]
Most people probably won't be able to do this one, but thought i'd still share it. The lat tower is very cheap and moves when using it with any real weight. I got a friend (with a welder) to help me lower the vertical rod then weld it in place. A little more stable now, but still has friction issues. I add oil, but it's still sticks some.
++++
The product was just as described. Shipping was fast and this product is of very high quality.
This bench does it all for me and cant beat the price and free shipping and bench arrived sooner than estimated by amazon/ups 5 days actually. I just cancelled my gym membership and got this bench. The only problem with this unit is that the bench is a lil short for me as I am 6'2 but not really a big issue. I am currently benching 335 and this bench does not shake or wobble. The lat tower is pretty sturdy too..I put 180 on it so far and it held up nicely. As for assembly.. it took me about 2 hours to put together ( instructions not that great )but I managed to do it. I would definetly buy this again if I had to and recommend this bench to everyone. Thanks

I decided to try and exercise more, and gain some more muscles so I bought some weights and needed a bench. For the price this isn't that bad, pretty good actually. But it is a bit small for me, being 6'3". The padded bench is small for me, but shouldnt be an issue for those of smaller statures. Assembling the bench was quite an adventure, as others have written some parts are not labeled correctly. Also some of the bolts, screws and washers come packaged in different boxes. There is a large piece of cardboard with the majority of the hardware attached to it via plastic, but some are scattered around. This was one of the major drawbacks, not only was it frustrating to look for the missing screws/bolts, but it also added to the build time. Overall build time was around 3 hours for me and my brother, with constant searching for missing hardware and for the tools needed. Once assembled the bench is pretty large, well planted and stable. Build quality is pretty good, except for the paint which peels off with the slightest touch. Also, my bench already had some surface rust on it, I'm guessing from sitting around so long and maybe during shipment, but I can see past that (some spray paint will cover that up)
